In my own way I assimilate and
synthesize
the world around me. Like Einstein’s theory
of relativity, I try to show the interrelationship
of all things- where science, and inner
and outer space meet, and coexist in a
frozen moment of sculpture.
Therefore, many of the forms within
the compositions are either found in nature,
or are elements associated
to man and industry.
The sculptures are created such that
proportion and association of forms
simultaneously focuses as well as
confuses our perception of a given reality.
In essence the works are meant to provide impressions of various realities.
I am not interested in absolutes, or blatant content, but rather the universal and sometimes ephemeral truths. Because these works verge on surrealism the
viewer is given the responsibility to complete the piece in his or her own mine by engaging the sculpture with their visual and tactile senses. In the end it is my hope that the art evokes a meditative quality.
