2 Griffins will be displaying their art and furniture at Marion Griffin's home in New Market for this tour

2 Griffins was incorporated in 2004 by the father and son team of Vernon and Damien Griffin. Vernon has been involved in woodworking for over 25 years. Vernon has been in construction for the past 25 years and often produced commissioned works in his spare time, as well as creating Christmas and birthday presents for friends and family. “A lot of people would tell me I should go into business but I never thought the time was right. Then when Damien graduated, he presented me with a business plan. I decided to retire from construction and take the plunge.”

Damien earned his BS in Business Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and quit his MBA to come home and begin this venture. Vernon said, “I’ve always known he had a lot of business savvy, but what I was most impressed by was his aptitude for design and the attention to detail in his woodworking—that’s a pretty strong combination”.  2 Griffins is proud of their charity work and has played an active role in helping fundraise for organizations such as Queenies Crusaders, the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation, MS, and others.

2 Griffins take pride in their old school approach to fine woodworking.  They only create pieces that are individually made and one-of-a-kind, with hand-rubbed finishes. It is their hope that their work will be passed down from generation to generation. Their love of working with wood, the excitement of creating new designs, and the feel of a well crafted piece are the cornerstones of their business.  While they love creating beautiful pieces, their products are meant to be used—they must serve some function in the home.
